“Skills London 2010 is an inspiring event for many thousands of young people, opening their eyes to a world of career opportunities. I challenge anyone who attended the 2008 event not to have been impressed by the imaginative engagement of exhibitors and the genuine enthusiasm of the young visitors. But Skills London is also grounded in the common sense practicality, of matching employers with motivated and skilled would-be employees. This is the challenge – to ensure young people in London have the talent to keep London as the best city in the world in which to work and do business.”

In 2008 Skills London welcomed over 54,000 visitors, from schools, colleges and groups from across the capital. The three day event inspired young people with a wide range of opportunities in training, further education and employment. In 2010 a new generation young visitors to Skills London will be inspired by hands-on activities, demonstrations and practical careers advice.

Skills London 2010 will feature zones to enable visitors to navigate the different careers and options available. Visitors will be able to take part in activities ranging from advertising to zoology, bookkeeping to youth work, construction to web design. Skills London 2010 will showcase opportunities that many young people may not have considered or even know exist.
