Numbers surge to get involved in Skills London 2010
Over 22,000 visitors have already booked to attend Skills London 2010 the UK’s biggest skills event for young people being held at ExCeL London on 7, 8 & 9 October 2010. This is a threefold increase on the numbers booked at this stage for Skills London 2008.
The visitors come from across London and range in their abilities and ambitions. Many find the event shows them the vast array of opportunities available and how they can get involved, other visitors talk to people already in the careers they want and find out the real lowdown.
Organisations from across London are also rushing to book with almost 50 organisations already signed up and many more have expressed an interest. The recession may be having an effect but business leaders understand how important it is to invest in the future and remain fighting fit when the world economy resurges.
Well known names will be waiting to meet their future stars including Lovell Partnerships Ltd, Morgan Ashurst, Morgan Est Plc, Engineering Construction Industry Training Board, Royal Navy, The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), The Tile Association, Careers at Sea and education providers including BSix Sixth Form College, Bucks New University, JTL, Middlesex University, Kensington and Chelsea College, Lambeth College, University of East London, The University of Greenwich, University of Plymouth, University of Westminster Careers and Student Employment (CaSE) and Tower Hamlets College. The full list can be found online.
Andrew Coates from organisers Prospects Events has been delighted at the positive response from across the Capital and South East.
